This year, in recognition of both the desire to give back &
support the broader community in which we live, as well as the members in
our midst who have been helped by this organization, we have selected the
Helping Hands Food Pantry. Your donations will go towards the purchase of
kosher food only.
Helping Hands Food Pantry was founded by Councilman Elie Y.
Katz and Daniel Meys, Senior Pastor of Teaneck Assembly of God Church in
2009. This partnership is committed to helping Teaneck's neediest residents,
regardless of religious affiliation, by providing a food pantry to
supplement their grocery shopping and ensure that our neighbors do not go
hungry, regardless of their financial circumstances. Eligible individuals &
families are welcome to pick up groceries at the pantry once per week. This
service is offered free of charge to more than 160 registered members.
Staffed by volunteers, Helping Hands Food Pantry is operated strictly
through donations & products which are provided subject to availability.
